I make this spinach and fruit smoothie at least a couple of times a week for my family. It’s quick, easy, filling, super healthy and contains an entire bag of spinach!
I usually use frozen blueberries and about a quarter of a frozen banana to make it extra thick and creamy. Then I add fresh strawberries, a scoop of protein powder, almond milk and handfuls of fresh spinach. You can easily swap out ingredients – fresh for frozen, other fruit (like raspberries, avocado) and amounts of each – but this is our favorite combination. Over time, I’ve added even more spinach and love knowing we’re all getting a large serving of this extremely nutrient-rich vegetable (potassium, magnesium, vitamins B6, B9, and E, carotenoids, vitamin C, vitamin K, folic acid, iron and calcium).

Doesn’t this look so refreshing and healthy? I have been known to make this smoothie in the evening when we’ve indulged in less than healthy eating that day to try and erase away some of the damage. Either way, give this nutritious smoothie a try and let me know what you think!
