Daylight Saving time is two days away so now is a great time to freshen up one of our most used spaces -our bathrooms and powder rooms. With all the light streaming in longer and maybe some extra company with alfresco meals being right around the corner, it’s easy to refresh these areas to pretty inviting spaces in five simple ways.
fresh flowers
Fresh flowers are everything. A single stem or a simple bouquet will instantly brighten your room and your mood. Whenever I buy flowers at the market, I always take out a stem or two for the powder room.

new towels
New towels always feel so good! If your towels are are looking a little worse for the wear (stained, faded or worn out) now is a great time to replace them. White sales are going to be everywhere soon so take a moment to really look at your towels and ask yourself if you would be proud to offer one to a guest. If you’re not in the market to replace all of your towels, a fresh hand towel near the sink instantly refreshes the area.
Trays
Clutter on the bathroom counter is never a welcome sight. A simple tray easily corrals your items to instantly appear more organized and thoughtful. I prefer to have very little out since we have a pretty small area to work with, but regardless of size, using trays will minimize clutter and make things much more accessible. Plus, trays are a good way to add some flair or color since there are so many options available at all price points.

candles

A candle easily sets the mood and lightens the tone in any room, including the bathroom. There’s just something about that flickering light that is so calming.
Soaps

I’ve always been into pretty soap containers. Whether you’re purchasing soap at Marshalls or Aesop, it’s nice to have a pretty dispenser. Please share some ways you like to refresh your home for Spring!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I’m not looking forward to losing an hour of sleep but am definitely ready for longer and lighter days.
